The Kitten's Tale

Hi, everyone. I'm pawfully pleased to tell you about The Kitten's Tale, which is the fifth book in my daughter Trump's "Pet Vet" series. Trump uses the same biographers I do. The Kitten's Tale is available in Australia and the US. In it, Trump has a problem when she meets Magnus, a small cat with big ideas. Meanwhile, Major Higgins has a problem, Whiskey the cockatoo has gone AWOL and one of my old enemies is loose in Trump's hometown.

I'm back in my twelfth adventure, The Ham Heist. Sarge, my person, is getting married, but I have other things on my mind. My New Book!

My latest book, Inspector Jacques, has just arrived. It was one of the most difficult cases of my career, for all sorts of reasons. Who ever heard of a dog detective who wanted to investigate human style crimes? That did give me paws for thought. And then there was Preacher's adventures with the dog-boggarts. New book coming...

I'm delighted to detect a new book on the horizon! My biographers are working on the eleventh book of my adventures, "Inspector Jacques". Not sure that I like that title, because Jacques is an odd dog, always dogging the limelight.

My daughter Trump will soon have a new story too. That's called The Python Problem.

So- you want to buy my books?

There are lots of ways to do that. My authors, Darrel and Sally, have these suggestions.



1. If you are at school, or if you know someone who is, order through the Scholastic Book Club.



2. Go to your local bookshops. If you can't see the titles you want on the shelf, ask the assistant. If the assistant says the books are "not in stock", ask him or her to order them for you. You will need to quote the title(s), author and publisher.

3. Go to an on-line book shop. There are lots, including Booktopia (at http://www.booktopia.com.au ). If you order through them, they get the books from the supplier for you.

4. You can also telephone Scholastic directly and order the titles. (There is a small packing fee.)

5. You can ]order through Amazon, but you need to be careful as the UK editions have different covers and different titles. Read the blurb to make sure you don't order the same book twice. There are French Canadian editions, but the two US editions and the English-language Canadian editions are very much like the Australian ones, and have the same titles and covers.

6. Bolinda Audio ( at http://www.bolinda.com/aus/ ) have the first few on CD - they're ace, and not at expensive as most audio books.

7. Try eBay!

About Me

I'm Jack Russell, a Jack Russell Terrier. I star in a series of books written by my biographers, Darrel and Sally Odgers. I have friends in Australia, New Zealand, America, Canada and the UK, which is pretty good. Now, I just need to work out a way to get all my fans to send me liver treats...


I live in Doggeroo, with Sarge, who is my best friend. Sarge is a police sergeant. I'm a dog detective. Terriers like to be out and about, so I know just about everything that happens in Doggeroo.

That's the first book about me in the picture. There are lots more.

It's hot today, and I might take Sarge down to the river near the reserve for a swim. If you have dogs, or if you are a dog, you can come too.
